This role supports New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle.
As a Systems Engineer on the New Glenn SEIT team, apply broad multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to create processes for development, implementation, certification, and sustainment. Bridge traditional systems engineering with emerging AI technologies to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include requirements definition, verification, validation, and system safety analysis.
Work across vehicle stages and subsystems in a hardworking team of engineers. Contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment through team collaborations. Focus on integrated launch system design, certification, and sustainment with AI-enhanced tools.
Develop health metrics and AI-assisted approaches for requirements management and performance monitoring. Participate in program gated reviews relative to major milestones. Join problem solvers shaping the future of spaceflight.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering or related technical field
- Experience with launch vehicles, aerospace, or defense programs
- 5-8 years of proven engineering experience
- Experience with systems engineering principles and practices
- Experience in at least one focused subject area of mechanical, fluids, thermal, propulsion, avionics or electrical hardware and/or software, telemetry/communications, structures, ground operations or flight/ground autonomy
- Skills in systems thinking, excellent written and oral communication skills, proactive in moving a program forward through team collaborations to achieve timely decisions, ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive culture
Responsibilities
- Work across vehicle stages and subsystems and support integrated launch system design, certification, and sustainment
- Develop health metrics to provide insight into program health relative to major milestones and participate in program gated reviews
- Implement and support AI-enhanced systems engineering processes and tools to improve efficiency and analysis capabilities
- Develop and utilize AI-assisted requirements management approaches across multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement metrics leveraging AI capabilities to monitor quality and schedule performance
- Support requirements development, allocation, and verification using AI-enhanced tools like DOORS Next Gen
- Contribute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
