About this role

Boeing Brazil seeks an Associate Airplane Systems Integration Engineer (Certification and Safety) for the 777X team in Sao Jose Dos Campos. This role reports to the Airplane Systems Integration organization and supports certification and safety efforts at the airplane level. The position is hybrid, requiring some onsite work at the hiring team's discretion.

Daily responsibilities include collaborating with Systems, Propulsion, Interiors, Avionics, Structures, Reg Admin, and ALIT to coordinate technical information, processes, and strategies. The engineer utilizes feedback from systems teams to improve product development processes and partners with IPTs to complete certification activities on schedule while resolving issues.

Work involves facilitating integration meetings like readiness reviews, ALIT/Reg Admin sessions, and system team gatherings for communication and data collection. The role requires integrating system-level and airplane-level subjects as needed, using requirements management tools and understanding Boeing processes, FAA/EASA regulations, and compliance methods.

Growth opportunities include pursuing certification and Engineering Change Approval training if not already proficient. The position supports the 777X program, leveraging experience in airplane systems and ARP4754 to contribute to safety and certification advancements within Boeing Brazil's collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Existing rights to work in Brazil
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Registered or eligible to register with CREA (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia)
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communications
  • Relevant experience in any airplane systems
  • Relevant experience with ARP 4754 process
  • Certification and/or Engineering Change Approval training preferred
  • Knowledge of ARP 4761, DO-160, FAA/EASA/ANAC regulations (Part 21 and Part 25) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Systems, Propulsion, Interiors, Avionics, Structures, Reg Admin, and ALIT to coordinate technical information, processes, and strategies supporting airplane level certification and safety efforts
  • Utilize feedback and lessons learned from systems teams to contribute to improvements on product development process
  • Partner with systems IPTs to support certification and safety activities within program schedule and resolve issues/roadblocks
  • Find and understand Boeing processes, FAA & EASA regulations, and certification methods of compliance (Part 21 and Part 25)
  • Use requirements management tools when necessary
  • Facilitate integration meetings including readiness reviews, ALIT/Reg Admin, program requests, and system team meetings for communications and data collection
  • Integrate system level and airplane level subjects when required
