As Software Deployment & Integration Engineer, own software and computer-system integration for radar platforms and test environments.

Focus on system bring-up, configuration validation, deployment readiness, and root-cause debug as the primary systems-focused engineer for Linux, networking, and software workflows. Lead bring-up activities for radar systems, support equipment, and test racks. Validate end-to-end configurations across BIOS, storage, Linux services, networking, time sync, containers, and deployment tooling.

Troubleshoot integration failures involving OS setup, services, permissions, network connectivity, routing, switches, and deployment pipelines. Configure Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, firewalls, and managed switches for lab environments. Stand up and maintain test racks with computer systems, networking, timing hardware, and infrastructure.

Partner with systems, software, firmware, RF, and hardware engineers to isolate faults across subsystems. Develop scripts, automated validation workflows, UI/end-to-end tests using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. Support lab, production, and field integration efforts 4-5 days per week from the Hawthorne office.

Requirements

  • Experience with Linux system administration, services, and configuration
  • Proficiency in Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and switch configuration
  • Familiarity with container runtimes like Docker, permissions, and deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of Linux timing services including chrony, linuxptp, timemaster
  • Skills in debugging BIOS, RAID, OS services, Azure CLI, and software pipelines
  • Experience with config-as-code workflows such as Jsonnet-based builds
  • Ability to develop automation scripts and browser-driven test frameworks like Playwright or Selenium

Responsibilities

  • Lead software and platform bring-up activities for radar systems, support equipment, and test racks
  • Validate end-to-end system configuration across BIOS, storage, Linux services, networking, time sync, container environments, and deployment tooling
  • Troubleshoot and root-cause integration failures involving system configuration, operating system setup, services, permissions, network connectivity, routing, switch configuration, and software deployment
  • Own configuration and validation of Linux timing and synchronization services, including chrony, linuxptp, timemaster and related system dependencies
  • Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking for lab and system test environments, including host networking, VLANs, routing, firewall rules, and managed switch setup
  • Develop scripts, tools, checklists, and automated validation workflows to identify incorrect system configuration
  • Partner with systems, software, firmware, RF, and hardware engineers to isolate faults across subsystem boundaries
  • Develop and maintain automated UI/end-to-end tests for radar web interfaces using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
