About this role

This role offers the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects valued in the hundreds of millions. You'll join an industry-leading team working with Marshall and major defence stakeholders and Primes. Manufacture sheet metal fabricated components and sub-assemblies to engineering data and OEM quality requirements.

Handle low quantity production, one-off components, and prototype manufacture. Perform bench work on small to medium sized precision components. Assemble using specialised fasteners like blind and solid rivets, hi-locks, and anchor nuts.

Conduct manual drilling, reaming, countersinking with handheld and air powered tools. Apply bonding and sealing with aerospace sealants and adhesives. Carry out torque tightening of bolts and nuts, plus electrical bonding and checks.

Work with Manufacturing Engineers on prototype assemblies using jigs and fixtures. Adhere to Marshall and OEM engineering data, including 3D models. Meet work schedules for on-time delivery and required quality standards.

Comply with all quality and HSE policies and procedures. Fabrication skills like folding and hand forming are advantageous, with training provided. Be part of a family-owned company building futures since 1909.

Requirements

  • Assembly experience essential, preferably in Aerospace
  • Bench work sub-assemblies with small to medium sized precision components
  • Assembly using specialised fasteners, blind and solid rivets, hi-locks, anchor nuts
  • Manual drilling, reaming and countersinking using handheld and air powered tools
  • Bonding and sealing using aerospace sealants and adhesives
  • Torque tightened bolts and nuts
  • Electrical bonding and checks
  • Work to Marshall and OEM engineering data and 3D models
