You will perform precision assembly and testing on complex production and repair actuators using hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic equipment. Utilize tools like dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and fixtures to maintain dimensional accuracy. Diagnose test failures, recommend rework, and ensure conformance to specifications and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred or demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions in English
  • Minimum 3 years or more of Assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic)
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is a plus
  • FAA Safety Sensitive position; must meet FAA's drug and alcohol testing program requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Assembly experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience performing precision assembly and test of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight actuators
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and micrometers

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators
  • Adjust or align through shimming and other means of mechanical adjustments specified by blueprint or other specification limits
  • Utilize a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and indicating micrometers
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages and other measuring devices
  • Perform various test operations on production or repair mechanical or hydraulic actuators using necessary test equipment
  • Diagnose common test failures and recommends or performs rework to correct discrepancies
  • Hold problem units for engineering disposition
  • Ensure that units are set up and tested in conformance with current revision letters
