About this role
At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. As a Staff Turbomachinery Engineer, you develop assemblies for Aeon-R engine fuel and oxidizer turbopumps.
You collaborate closely with propulsion development and manufacturing teams to incorporate improvements into future designs. Thrive in ambiguity, drive projects to completion, and tackle challenging issues unique to rocket turbopumps. Work at interfaces of design, development, and analysis.
The propulsion team owns engine design from concept through launch and reuse. Partner with manufacturing, test, launch, and integration teams to develop engines in record time. Support Terran R's first launch in 2026 while building, testing, and iterating Aeon-R systems.
Joining Relativity means autonomy, ownership, and impact at every level. Solve unsolved problems, shape decisions, and see work come to life quickly. Now is the moment to leave your mark on product, process, and culture as Terran R gains momentum.
