The Manufacturing Engineer II supports tube body envelope production through hands-on process engineering and continuous improvement.
This role applies Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, boost operational efficiency, and enhance yields and performance. Expect frequent shop floor engagement, data analysis using statistical tools, and close collaboration with factory teams. Assist technicians in troubleshooting processes and equipment while partnering with maintenance for optimal performance.

Requirements
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- BS degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on yield or process improvement
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across a range of technical roles
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to comply with OSHA, EPA, fire regulations, and company policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Provide production support via process improvements targeting yield, efficiency, and performance improvements
- Train and collaborate with bargaining unit employees to enhance work processes and improve product quality
- Use data analytics and statistical tools to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
- Assist area technicians to troubleshoot process and equipment issues and partner with maintenance to maintain optimal equipment performance
- Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity
- Apply Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
