1w1 week agoSpaceX
Hawthorne, US · Full-time · $100,000 – $135,000
About this role
SpaceX develops technologies to enable human life on Mars. The Raptor Components team creates advanced engine control components, integrating pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and software into packages for streamlined manufacturing and operation. Engineers design, analyze, build, test, and fly hardware for simplicity, manufacturability, and reliability in extreme environments.
Develop manufacturing and integration processes for Raptor engine components and assemblies, questioning requirements to simplify, optimize, accelerate, and automate deliveries. Conceptualize and drive innovative processes to meet high rate production targets. Regularly challenge processes, parts, and operations with design engineers for the most manufacturable hardware.
Oversee new products and revisions while maintaining ownership of the production line, including quality, tooling, ergonomics, and safety. Spearhead root cause investigations across development, production, test, integration, and launch. Coordinate peers through informal leadership to achieve goals and interface with fabrication shops and vendors.
Own relationships with suppliers, customers, and test teams while spearheading projects. Provide input into vehicle architecture trades and lead design and flight readiness on Starship. Expand knowledge and creativity at the cutting edge of space technology to make humanity multi-planetary.
